Active Aging 62+

Group Exercise Classes for Adults 62+:
 
Chair Yoga-The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair is used for support during standing poses.​

Core Balance and Stretch-This class trains the muscles that you use in your back, hips and abdomen to improve your core strength and tighten abs. Stretching is included to help improve flexibility, balance and coordination.
 
Free Weight Fitness-Learn the basic fundamentals of strength training with free weights including: dumbbells, barbells, medicine balls and resistance bands. 

Gentle Yoga-This is a softer, nurturing, slow-paced and relaxing practice.  It includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure and range of motion exercises.  Perfect for beginners, seniors or those who just want a relaxing hour in their day. 

Strength Fusion-This class combines full-body strength training with cardio bursts designed to tone your body and improve your endurance. Modifications for all fitness levels are provided.


Aquatic Classes for Adults 62+:
 
Aqua Fit-This class uses simple water dumbbells and the resistance of the water. This workout is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and energized.

Aqua Kickboxing- This class combines movement, music and the fundamentals of kickboxing for the ultimate full body workout!  This class is a cardio, aerobics, "no-contact" class that will help you burn calories and tone.  No experience necessary.  Splash, splash - it will be a real hit!


Aqua Reboot-This upbeat class welcomes all fitness levels, challenging you to increase your endurance and energy level. The focus will be on cardio, core, strength and stretching. 

Aqua Zumba-This is an aqua aerobics class with a Latin flavor. It is low-impact and slower paced than the land Zumba classes.

Gentle Joints-The emphasis of this water-based class is slow, gentle range of motion exercises for all joints. These exercises also strengthen the muscles, which support the joints using the resistance of the water.
